D. J. DeLeon graduated from Elk City High School in 1999. In 2003, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a specific concentration in Public Relations. While attending OU, D. J. was a member of the prestigious President’s Leadership Class, President of the Public Relations Student Society of America and was a member of the first Journalism and Mass Communication Advisory Board in the Gaylord College of Journalism.
D.J. is a 2006 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law where he earned a Juris Doctorate. That same year, D.J. was presented with the Kansas School of Law Tax Law Certificate. D. J. is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Beckham County Bar Association and Custer County Bar Association.
D. J. married his wife Amy in July of 2008 and they make their home in Elk City. D. J. and Amy enjoying traveling, going to the lake and playing golf. They are members of St. Matthews Catholic Church.
